My Role: I was the Executive Producer of this Spotify original show during seasons 3 and 4. Under my direction, the show won two NAACP Image Awards in season 3, and garnered three total nominations across both seasons that I was EP. I revamped the show which led to an increase in female listenership and engagement, and integral to building the Unbothered Podcast Network.
Jemele Hill shares her unbothered, nuanced opinions on news, pop culture, politics, and sports and conducts intimate interviews with some of the biggest names and most thought-provoking contributors to culture, music, and entertainment.
My Role: As executive producer and head of content, I conceived, developed, and led the execution of this Spotify original show. I created Sanctified to foster community for modern-day Black women — churched, unchurched, or somewhere in-between — looking for a podcast that covers faith and contemporary culture, while tackling taboo issues.
Sanctified is the littest church service where hot girls and holiness align.
The Story: An interview with the longest-serving female Black Panther Party leader, former political prisoner, and activist Ericka Huggins.
My Role: I conducted the interview which included anecdotes about the Oakland Community School she led (and where Maya Angelou and James Baldwin visited), plus discussions about sisterhood, sexism, abolishing prisons, and meditation.
The Project: A collection of 30 stories from organizers, political prisoners, scholars, and advocates — all of which point to the crucial conclusion that policing and prisons do not serve as catch-all solutions for the issues and people the state deems social problems. “Instead, we need to invest in a future that puts justice and the needs of the community first. A future that, as Colin Kaepernick himself says in his introductory essay, makes us safer, healthier, and truly free.”
My Role: I was a co-editor, editing the work of Bree Newsome, Kimberlé Crenshaw, and Kiese Laymon, among others.

I edited: 13,000 words total.
I worked in collaboration with art/design, product/engineering, social/audience development, marketing, and PR teams.

For ZORA Mag
The Project: A four-part series that brings into focus the pressures — and peace — of productivity and performance for our current times. This bundle of stories delivers a look at women who are — and were — going through burnout. It provides strategies from experts to not only help you find calm in your frenzied life, but also encourages you to put yourself first.
Introduction written by me. Britni Danielle examines the fatigue of performance burnout and shares advice for when you feel the need to be “on” all the time. Erika Stallings reports on the chronic stress of showing up as superwoman for everyone before showing up for yourself. Janelle Harris Dixon will give us a look into the life of a woman who finds peace in productivity and thrives in chaotic times.
My Role: I was the project lead, planning and executing this cross-department collaboration. Assigned and edited all features.
