The Project: A a four-part project celebrating the genius and glory of Black women in music — anchored by our definitive list of the 100 most iconic albums by African American women.
My Role: I was the project lead for the three-month execution of this package.
I planned, assigned, and edited all stories and the list of albums.
I secured esteemed panelists — including MC Lyte and Danyel Smith — and managed 10 staff members and one factchecker.
I edited: 13,000 words total.
I worked in collaboration with art/design, product/engineering, social/audience development, marketing, and PR teams.
